I've been thinking a lot about gift-giving, and finding personal, unique, yet affordable items for my friends and family. I "met" Katherine at The Owl & The Firefly, with her many whimsical and fun hand-crafted items for almost everyone in the family! Inspired by the curiosity of her two-year-old, Katherine creates a variety of handiwork, for any occasion.For the writer or student, she's created a fabric cover for a journal, for an even more personalized way of recording thoughts and information.
For the home decorator, she's created glass work, like this Moravian Star! She also has other stained glass creations at The Owl & The Firefly.
One of her newest creations is the Child's ID Safety Bracelet Set. This is a great idea for children with any special needs, as it looks like a fashion, fabric bracelet, yet contains important information, concealed on the underside.
One of my favorites is the Wrist Cuff Watch, with adjustable fabric band. I like the unique look of the fabrics -- I chose a paisley one which is similar to the types of diaper bags I have. But it truly is comfortable to wear. The watch face is simple, yet elegant; it's also easy to read! It also has a stainless steel back, and the watch itself is water resistant. (The fabric band does remove from the slides for hand washing; lay the band flat to dry.)
There are two buttons to adjust the band which is helpful because I have rather small wrists. The snap button has a somewhat pearlized look, creating an even more feminine appeal.
Katherine also packaged the watch with a ribbon and personal note too!
