My husbadn and I were visiting his dad out ot town and our daughter got sick. We had to fly home to avaoid paying fees and he had to get back to work, so we took her on the plane sick, hoping she would sleep most of the 4 hr flight, but she got up long enough to get sick all over herself, and her blanket, we tried to get her into the irry bitty bathroom on the plane to clean her up and change her clothes. Poor thing was so upset, and i was so embarassed. To top it off, we accidentally left the dirty clothes in a bad under the seat along with her favorite blanket!

ReplyDeleteMy worst cold ever had to be when I was a missionary in Peru. I was trying to battle a terrible cold, and my best friend caught lice at a local marketplace. We were stuck alone in the dorms where we were staying while the rest of our group was out doing skits all over Lima. I wasn't able to go to the store and get medicide because everything was in Spanish and one of the group leaders was out on another group's adventure. It was a terrible mess and I couldn't wait to come home.

I have 5 kids and the worst thing was when they all got sick at once. And then I got sick too!
ReplyDeleteMy worst flu experience was at Christmas in High School. I got my whole family sick & ended up taking care of them because I was the only one not sick. No fun!

I think my worst cold was when I was in 5th grade and it was the first night of christmas vacation. I was having a sleepover for my birthday and while all my friends were playing and having fun, I was laying in bed dying. The very next day my whole class was having a christmas party and caroling but I had to stay home in bed.

ReplyDeleteMy son and I were both sick with coughs, throwing up, and fever. Since my boyfriend works we were both stuck at home and miserable for 3 weeks.

My worst story is when two of my kids and I pregnant at the time had severe flu and my husbands father died and we had to drive 6 hours. well that six hours turned into 18.

My worse cold story would be that my husband was sick with a bad cold and cough for the days leading up to and just after we got married! Not much fun at all.

When I was pregnant with my son, my daughter was about a year and a half. She got so sick we had to take her to the ER for the first time. I was so scared for her and that I would get it and something might happen to my little boy.

I think my worst cold story is just when both of my boys (ages 2 and 3) got Croup....they had a lot of breathing problems and I spent many nights sleeping on the floor in their room, taking them outside in the cold in the middle of the night...and to the doctor's! It was awful...so hard for me to watch them in pain! -Liz I.

I don't really have a horror story from my kids being sick (thank God), but I was the sickest i ever was a few years ago. At the time I was living with my roommate, her son and her boyfriend. It just went down the line. It was the worst I have ever been sick that I can remember. I didn't go to work for almost a week. I didn't come out of my room so long that my roommate told her boyfriend to come check on me. It was bad.

The worst for sure is have 2 kids that are sick at the same time and then me getting sick on top of that, while having to take care of a baby and the two sick kids. Not fun. countrycookinmama@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteworst cold flu... was a commuter student and my boyfriend lived on campus. I stayed up there the night before, was studying for a test, woke up early to study some more, felt like crap. was throwin up, burning and freezing and achin. came back from my test and tried to sleep, miserable. Wanted to go home, not be miserable at a frat house. Eventually drove home, where I kept pulling over to the side of the road. Got home and got a bucket and some gatorade and spent the rest of the day in my privacy sleepin, achin, sweating, and getting sick
ReplyDeleteWe got flu really bad when my eldest daughter was 18 months old. We were all so sick it's unreal. And as I was just starting to come out of the blur of puking and lying on the couch, I was just starting to feel better, but no where near 100% then I got my positive pregnancy test for my now 6 year old. So I got to have another 12 weeks of puking right on the back of the flu hehe.
