Tropical Traditions Coconut Peanut Butter Review and Giveaway!
I'm sure you've heard by now about this amazing company called Tropical Traditions! Every product I've tried, I've really liked, even though some of my expectations were different than the actual product.
When I received my Organic Coconut Peanut Butter, I ripped into the package, grabbed a knife, and proceeded to make myself some peanut butter toast -- some times I just have cravings for it! The consistency of the Coconut Peanut Butter is not as smooth as other brands, but I had no trouble spreading it on toast; I'd compare the consistency similar to our Smart Balance butter spread. And the coconut and peanut butter taste as pretty much equal. I thought it might be sweeter, but looking at the ingredients, it's Organic Dried Coconut and Organic Roasted Valencia Peanuts! Comparing the Nutrition Facts to the peanut butter we already had in the cupboard, Tropical Traditions Organic Coconut Peanut Butter has 75% less calories! I'm so pumped to try this in our homemade protein bars because I know that it's only the good stuff! I'll also recommend this to a family member, who's normally a peanut butter fiend but has difficulties finding a diabetic friendly solution.
BUY IT!!
You can purchase a 16 oz. glass jar of organic Coconut Peanut Butter for $14.99. (Tropical Traditions often runs specials, which they advertise through their sales email; right now you can get it for $9.99.) When I don't get enough sleep...
When I'm run down, it seems like most everyone around me, especially the littlest member of the family, revs up even more! I remember when I used to teach, the lack of sleep for whatever reason didn't effect me or my day much. Could the aging process attack my energy level or is tending to a 2 year old much more draining than tending to 100 16 year olds -- and for the record, I am NOT pregnant!
I've had the sleep discussion with myself plenty of times. I stay up way too late having "ME" time, and I'm actually going to try to vary my routine and see if I can overcome the fatigue! Yawn.
This post is part of the Blog Dare's Prompt: When I Don't Get Enough Sleep.

CSN Stores Review
Earlier I mentioned how we'd love to get a swing set, and CSN stores kindly provided an opportunity to review any of their products. I actually purchased a couple of child-proofing items which we need to keep little fingers out of trouble! CSN offers a variety of items, and shipping is expedient! However, shipping starts around $7, so it's best to either buy a lot or spend a lot! If you're planning any online purchases, take a look at CSN stores as you shop around!

The Flats and Handwashing Challenge May 23-30
I saw this Flats and Handwashing Challenge and thought it was interesting. It's a very basic way to experience one of the most cost-friendly ways to cloth diaper. I thought about participating, but since I don't have any flats, making a purchase is still purchasing, making it not as cost friendly! But I have handwashed pockets and fitteds to dry over night -- the heat in the house dried them up in one night; and I've handwashed to dry outside -- in fact, yesterday, I washed up the 3 dirty ones to hang out in the sunshine, one of the few super sunny days we've had!

Dayspring Grace Tiles - Review and Giveaway!
I've seen Dayspring products in almost every Christian bookstore, but only recently have I found them online. It's much easier for me to access their products from my home, and not worry that little toddler hands will touch, yank, or break anything that I wasn't intending on buying!
Several months ago, I think, I filled out a form to review a Dayspring product from (in)courage, but when I finished it, I was unclear as to whether I'd be chosen and what product would come. A few days ago, two boxes arrived, and I was so excited to receive the Grace Tiles and Rod Set! That has a very special meaning for our family -- we're reminded on a daily basis that we need to show grace to each other as we've all received grace freely.
I love the simple and classy look it brings to our home. And it's not overwhelmingly heavy to hang either.
Even though we've been in our house for over a year, we still have blank walls! I know you can put putty in to fill holes in drywall, but I'm still so fearful of putting hanging things up and realizing that lack of design skills would leave me with more holes than needed! But we're doing it...and I'd like to thank the Grace Tiles for motivating me!
Win It!
You can also win a $20 gift code to use at the Dayspring.com (shipping charges still apply). To enter, visit Dayspring and let me know what you like; just make sure you leave a comment with your email address. This is required and must be done before extra entries count!

Sweet Mommy Moments
I was rocking my little one before her nap, and upon her request, we read, Is Your Mama a Llama? When we finished, I asked her, "Is your mama a llama?" and she said, yes! So I followed up with, "Who's your mommy?" And in her sweet little voice, she said, "Mommy!"

USPS Rates Increasing
Did you know that rates were increasing?!? Starting April 17, 2011, there will be slight changes; not the shocking rise of the $.44 stamp, but if your letter weighs more than the 1 oz, it'll be $.64 instead of $.61. Basically the starting points are the same cost, but if your letter/package weighs more than that starting point, you'll pay even more than before April 17. And postcard rates are going up a penny too.
If it weren't for an email from PhotoStamps, I wouldn't have known! You can see the details of the USPS rate increase here.

Snapily Animated Photo Card Review and Giveaway!
With family overseas, the greeting card I choose to send is very important. Normally I find a company who'll let me personalize a card with a picture of the beloved little one, and that'll travel across the Pacific to some thrilled grandparents! I know they'll be even more excited to receive Snapily's Animated Photo Cards!
In three easy steps, you'll have an animated card that rotates 2 pictures in the space of a single picture! Simply choose a pattern, upload your images and text, and checkout to purchase your one-of-a-kind card, for less than a store-bought card ($3.99)! The website is user-friendly, and the pictures upload quickly.
And the finished product is sure to bring a smile! I wasn't sure of how the quality of the pictures would turn out, but the quality of each picture is striking and sharp. However, there seems to be a shadow of the second picture. Overall, it's a fun and unique photocard, and I know ours will be well loved!

Best April Fools' Joke
It's been 2 years, and for most people involved, not forgotten! My colleague who was teaching her last day before maternity leave, and I think she was about 38 - 39 weeks pregnant, played a great joke on the high school principal! Our principal is a great guy but was always so nervous about my and my colleague's pregnancies, and she played him right into this!
During one of her classes, she created the scene, with a pool of water below her stool where she was sitting, and the school nurse by her side, and she buzzed the office, telling them that she was going into labor! The principal rushed over thinking he'd need to drive her to the hospital, asked for her keys, what her car looked like, where it was located, and told her he'd bring it to the front, all with his worried and frantic look; my colleague and her class then surprised him with, "April Fools!" And boy was he shocked and relieved! I wish I could post the video she has on her facebook, but in the doorway behind the principal was the assistant principal who had the opposite reaction -- huge smiles; during the joke, which he didn't know about either, he was excited that someone would be going into labor on the job! Crazy people I worked with!
